Private Health Fund Rebates

Government Rebates

Andrew meets the requirements of Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008, and is a recognized provider for rebates from a number of health funds. It is advised that you check with your fund directly to make certain you are covered if this is a major consideration for you. Andrew has been holder of Professional Indemnity and Practice public liability continuously since 2008.

Please note it is incumbent upon you to check with your fund to ensure that you qualify for the provision of my services with your health fund. I am a Psychotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Counsellor – please note I AM NOT A REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST.

Government Rebates

The Federal government’s Department of Health has developed a program of  Better Access to Mental Health Care.

Information about Medicare rebates available to patients for selected mental health services provided by GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists and eligible social workers and occupational therapists. More information is available via the fact sheet for patients on this link.

As a psychotherapist, clinical counselling hypnotherapist and transpersonal counsellor, Andrew does not qualify as a provider for services under the Federal Government’s Better Access program under Medicare. Sorry about that, perhaps you can lobby your sitting Federal House of Representative Parliamentary Member to bring about much needed change.
